What if some of the stress and confusion that comes with laboratory accreditation could be ALLEVIATED by having a clear guide on how to get started?

...without having to waste hours searching the internet for answers

...without having to scour through documents from the accrediting bodies

...and without having to wonder whether your efforts are steering you in the right direction.

In fact...

What if everything you need to get started is all in ONE place!

And listen, you DON'T have to be an expert in quality assurance to be successful.

As a matter of fact, my background didn't consist of Quality Assurance OR Forensic Laboratory Accreditation when I started!

In a little over a year, I was able to successfully take our Crime Scene Unit and Latent Print Unit through the initial assessment and achieve accreditation. But this could have been accomplished much faster had I known what to do (and in what order).

These strategies include:

  • Maintaining laboratory manuals and documents
  • Reviewing customer feedback
  • Updating personnel files
  • Keeping inventory lists and logs
  • Completing audits and management reviews
  • ...and more!

Everything you need to get started is available right now!

Preparing for the Forensic Accreditation Process

The Roadmap to Acing Your First Assessment

Hi! I'm Meredith Tise, Ph.D., Forensic Quality Assurance Coordinator, ANAB Technical Assessor, Consulting Forensic Anthropolgist

In 2017, I was hired as the Forensic Quality Assurance Coordinator at the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office in Largo, Florida.

Without prior experience in Forensic Accreditation, I was able to help the Crime Scene Unit and Latent Print Unit become successfully accredited by January 2019.

I want to continue helping others through the forensic accreditation process in hopes that you don't feel as lost as I did at the beginning.

"I appreciate a presenter that really knows the subject well. The information really answered a lot of questions that I had about the process. We have been working on accreditation for a while now. We are ready to make the final push. I am glad I took this webinar. I will be back."

⍰ Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to have any prior experience in Forensic Accreditation before I take this course?
No, we break everything down to make it easy even if you're a beginner!

Our lab isn't even close to committing to getting accredited - is this course still for me?
Depends! Following the guidelines and requirements of accreditation standards will only make your lab better. Plus, whenever your agency DOES decide to commit, you'll be well prepared to make it a smooth process! If this sounds appealing to you, then yes - this course is for you.

What if my lab has multiple disciplines (i.e. Crime Scene Unit, Latent Print Unit, Pre-Screening DNA Laboratory, etc.)?
We cover the differences in procedures for accreditation standards and which ones would be most appropriate for your lab, even if you have multiple disciplines.

How long will I have access to this eCourse?
You'll have 1 year access to the Preparing for the Forensic Accreditation Process eCourse. This should give you plenty of time to go through each module at your own pace.

How can I apply my tax exemption certificate to the purchase of this eCourse?
If you or your agency qualifies for a sales tax exemption, you will need to provide Teachable with a tax exemption certificate and submit a refund request to [email protected]. The refund request should include a copy of the purchase receipt showing the sales tax paid and Order ID. Teachable will issue a refund once the documentation has been reviewed and approved (usually takes about 7 days).
